Louis Marin Garcia, 83, of Coral Springs, FL passed away on Monday, November 25, 2013 at home. Louis was born August 30, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY to Victor and Rita (Marin) Garcia. Louis was very proud of the service he provided to our country during the Korean War as a United States Marine. He was a very active member of Coral Springs Veterans Coalition. Louis loved to play racquetball and chess and enjoyed gardening. Recently he had been taking Spanish classes at the library to brush up on his native language. A people person, Louis was loved by all and the life of a party. He adored his family and his home; he loved his dog, Gracie. Louis is survived by his beloved wife, Madeline Garcia; and children, Gary Garcia, Gregory Garcia, Dina Hughes, Evan Altman, and Heather Altman-Bloch. He also leaves his grandchildren, Mitchell & Ariana Garcia, Dylan, Austin & Garrett Hughes, and Jaclyn & Jonathan Bloch; 3 great grandchildren, and his brother, Patrick Garcia, to cherish his memory. Louis will be laid to rest at South Florida National Cemetery on Friday, November 29, 2013 at 1:45 P.M. with a graveside service.
