Lois A. (Brown) Homme, 83, of North Lauderdale, FL and Lockport, NY passed away on April 22, 2015. Born on June 30, 1931 in Lockport, she married Thomas A. Homme in 1952 while he was in the Air Force. They moved around the country living in 9 states and 2 countries, Spain and Goosebay Labrador. In 1971 she settled back to Lockport. Lois worked for several local clothing stores including The Sample, Drury's, and Bergers.
She enjoyed drawing in her younger days, sewing and making apple dolls. Lois attended and was part of the choir at First Free Methodist Church, where she also assisted with the gardening. She later moved to North Lauderdale, FL.
Lois is survived by her children, Thomas (Darcie) Homme, Beth (Ernie) Zayac, Keith (Sue) Homme, Babette (Paul) Anderson, Belinda (Mike) Stoll, Barbara (Craig) Weber; 15 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Homme, Sr., and her son, Dale.
Friends and family may call from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Coral Springs Funeral Home, 1420 N. University Drive, Coral Springs, FL. Visiting hours will continue at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home in Lockport on Wednesday, followed by a service on Thursday. Lois will be laid to rest at Cold Springs Cemetery, Lockport, NY.
