Leona Bor (nee Dratch), 95, of Coral Springs, Florida passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015. She was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts on August 29, 1920 to Benjamin and Frances (Fanny) Dratch. She resided in Margate, Florida for many years. Leona was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 31 years, Nathan (Nat) Bor, who died in 1972. Nat was a proud bronze medal winner in lightweight boxing at the 1932 Olympic games. Together they raised 2 daughters, Linda and Phyllis. Leona is survived by Linda and her devoted son-in-law, Steve Topor, of Point Pleasant, NJ and Hillsboro Beach, FL; 2 grandsons, Benjamin and Lawrence Topor whom she adored, as well as their loving wives JaneAnne and Mary Beth. She also leaves behind 5 great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Justine, Janae, Ronan, and Claire Topor. Her daughter Phyllis passed away on July 10, 2015 after a valiant battle with lung cancer. She was also preceded in death by 2 loving brothers, Harold and David Dratch.

Leona was raised and schooled in New Bedford, MA. She attended Mary Washington University and Ohio State University, She worked in the family home furnishing business for years but her greatest pride was in raising her family. She was very devoted to her aunts, uncles, and many cousins. Her parents passed on the love of family, a quality she left to her own children. Leona had many friends throughout her life, including her special friends and wonderful care takers at Park Summit Healthcare in Coral Springs, Florida where she resided the last 5 years. She will be remembered for her kind and gentle ways and great sense of humor and will be sorely missed.
