Laureano "Lalo" Martinez, 79, of Margate, Florida, passed away, surrounded by his loving family on August 12, 2014. Lalo is survived by his wife Ysara Martinez, son Lawrence Martinez, daughter Helena Martinez, grandchildren Matthew, Lawson, Samantha, brother Francisco Martinez and many loving extended family and friends. Lalo was born in Cangas del Narcea (Asturias), Spain on June 23, 1935. He met his wife in Havana, Cuba in 1959 and throughout 48 years, their love was inspiring, pure and true to all that knew them. He enjoyed sharing his worldly experiences with his children and grandchildren. He was a true believer in the American Dream, that through hard work and persistence, anything was possible. He was a noble man and devoted father, husband, grandfather, brother and friend to all. Lalo dedicated his life to his family. He enjoyed technology, music, bike riding, soccer, but especially having his family around him for good meals and laughter.
