Laura Ruggiero, 94, of Coral Springs, FL, entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 21, 2024

She is survived by her sons, Robert (Lorraine) and Thomas (Leslie), and daughter-in-law Mary; her grandchildren, Maria (Kenny), Laura (Michael), Leonard Jr (aka JR), Tara (Adam), Dana (Jonathan), Gina (Joey), Albert (Ashley), Peter (Emily). She was also the proud Great Grandmother of Frankie, Anna (aka Cody), Nicholas, Katelyn, Giuliana, Lennon, Presley, Thomas Joseph (TJ) and Lucy

She is also survived by her sisters, Pauline and Teresa along with many nieces and nephews and their children.

Laura was preceded in death by: Albert (spouse), their sons Leonard and Albert Jr. (aka Chickie) and her brothers, Dewey Canessa and Joseph Canessa.

Laura was born on the 30th of May 1929, to Catherine (Dennigan) and Andrew Canessa in Brooklyn, NY

Upon moving to Florida in 1987, she embarked on a 33-year career as a bookkeeper for Feller Engineering, a prominent engineering firm in Ft. Lauderdale. She truly loved her job, her co-workers and the Feller Family.

She loved baking, preparing holiday dinners and traveled as much as she could for as long as she could.

Visitation will be held at Coral Springs Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, with a Funeral Service on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Coral Springs at 11:00am. Burial will be held at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery following the mass.
