Kostas K. Venskauskas, 69, of Coral Springs, FL died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Broward Health in Coral Springs. Kostas was born January 10, 1945 in Lithuania. After receiving his Doctorate in Engineering from St. Petersburg State Maritime Academy in Leningrad, Kostas began a lifelong career in the science field where he made numerous advancements. He spent 2 years in California working for an American company. It was during this time that Kostas and his beloved wife, Svetlana, gave birth to their daughter, Masha. Wishing to raise her in their native country, they returned to Russia where they lived for 12 years. In hopes that Kostas would return to the science field and continue his work, the United States reached out to him and offered him permanent residency due to his exemplary achievements. The family relocated to Florida, where they currently reside in Coral Springs. Kostas is survived by his wife, Lana, of 30 years; his children, Edward Venskauskas and Marija Venskauskaite; and his grandchildren, Arina and Kostia Venskauskas.
