Donald K. Higgins (Kenny), 71, of Boca Raton, FL passed away on Sunday, October 27th, 2013. Kenny was born on November 6th,1941 in Birmingham, AL to Wade and Ruby Higgins. In 1954, Kenny moved from Alabama to Wauchula, FL with his parents and siblings. He later moved to Pompano Beach, FL where he met and married his beautiful wife Bonnie. They married in 1962, went on to have 2 beautiful daughters and settled in Boca Raton, FL. Kenny loved and adored his family. He had a great passion for fishing, hunting and country music. He loved the outdoors and was a true country boy at heart. He was also very proud of his career as a Journeyman Electrician for over 40 years. He was a proud member of I.B.E.W.(International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) Union. Kenny will be remembered as a kind, funny, compassionate and generous man who loved to spend time with his family and friends. His grandson, Nicholas was the light of his life. He loved teaching his children and grandson about fishing, hunting and the great outdoors. Kenny was preceded in death by his beloved wife Bonnie, parents, Wade and Ruby Higgins, and brother Bill Higgins. Those left to cherish his memory are his adoring daughters, Lori Lucas and Sharon Frank, Son in law, Steven Frank, Grandson Nicholas Frank, sister Faye Rosser and brother Dennis Higgins. He is also survived by his loyal and faithful companion, Stacey his dog. Kenny will be laid to rest next to his cherished wife Bonnie in the family plot at Brooksville Cemetery 1275 Olmes Rd. Brooksville, FL 34601 on Saturday, November 9th 2013 at 2:00 pm.
