Kathryn Kay (Knee) Fouts, age 56, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in Florida. She was born on January 16, 1969, in Wabash, Indiana to Norman and Beverly Knee.

Kathy met the love of her life, Mike Fouts, at Ball State University. They married in Wabash, Indiana on June 3, 1989, and have two beautiful children, Samantha and Davis.

She was an amazing wife, mother, and friend to many. Kathy enjoyed spending time laughing with family and friends on any and every occasion. Her love for animals stood out whether it was on Safari in Africa, visiting her grand dogs, or just hanging out at home with her beloved Kitty. She also enjoyed traveling the world, visiting London, Paris, Amsterdam, Greece, Monaco, Italy, the Caribbean, Switzerland, Africa and throughout the United States.

She loved going to Broadway and the theater, especially in New York City. One of her favorite places on earth was York Beach, Maine, and the Nubble Lighthouse. Kathy was a true child of the 80s and loved hair bands, including Def Leppard, Journey, Poison, Van Halen, and Motley Crue.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Mike Fouts of Port St. Lucie, Florida, daughter, Samantha Fouts of Port St. Lucie, Florida, son, Davis Fouts of Dover, New Hampshire, her mother, Beverly Knee of Wabash, Indiana, brother and sister-in-law, Jeff & Shelly Knee, niece, Lindsay Knee, and nephew, Matthew Knee all of Wabash, Indiana, niece, Jaimie Knee of Indianapolis, Indiana, mother-in-law, Nancy Fouts, sister & brother-in-law, Brooke & Jacob Schetgen and niece, Maddy Schetgen all of Columbia, Maryland.

In lieu of flowers, Kathy and her family have requested memorials in her name to The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. They operate one of the most successful orphan elephant rescue and rehabilitation programs in the world. She and Mike visited this rescue when they were in Africa in 2019. Funeral services for Kathy Fouts will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 11:00am at the Church by the Glades, 400 Lakeview Drive, Coral Springs, Florida 33071.
