Josephine "Jo" Bavaro, aged 87, died peacefully on April 14, 2015 at her home in Margate Florida. Josephine was born on August 29, 1927 in Lawrence, NY, the daughter of Ralph and Sadie Ruggiero. Josephine loved to sew and cook and delighted in making her world famous pasta sauce. She loved family gatherings where she could sit, reminisce and visit with those she loved the most - her family. She was loved by all that knew her and she had a smile that could light up a room. Her heart may not have sustained her here on earth but it sustains those she left behind. Family was everything to Josephine and she is survived by her sister Rosie and her brother Leo as well as her daughters Maria, Jo and Darlene and her son Mario. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren whom she adored more than anything and who gave her the most joy in life. Her grandchildren Jason, Kelly, Kari, Nicholas, Anthony, Taylor, Ashley, Gina, Michael, Peter, Amanda and Cassie were the lights in her eyes as well as her great-grandchildren Jordan, Brianna, Isaiah, David, Dylan, Haylee, DJ and Mariah. She loved nothing more than when the entire family was together for special occasions and always looked forward to the next gathering. Her family lost a matriarch but heaven gained a special angel. She is now back in the arms of her husband Mario, her son Peter, her daughter Debbie, her grandson Charlie and countless other family members who predeceased her.
