Joseph F. Rosso, 97, of Margate, Florida, went to be with the Lord and his late wife, Marion, on January 19 th , 2021.  He is survived by his children, Joseph Rosso, William Rosso (Joann), Audrey Rosso, Frank Rosso (Diana), his niece, Frances Rosso, two granddaughters, 6 grandsons, 6 great-grandchildren, and many loving cousins and friends.  Joe is preceded in death by his wife, Marion Healey Rosso, his only sibling, brother, Henry Rosso, and his parents.

Joe was born the 19 th of February, 1923 to Frances and Frank Rosso, in Staten Island, NY.  He grew up with love from many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well.  He was a gifted swimmer, who was so proud to have been the only freshman on the Varsity Swim Team at Curtis High School.  He went to work at an early age to help his family through difficult times.  He married, Marion Healey, June 30 th , 1951.  They spent 58 years together before her passing.  He owned, "Audrey's Luncheonette and Pizzeria" in Stapleton. In 1963, he moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida with his family.  This was a dream of his for many years.  Here, he worked in various positions, most in the family and office furniture businesses.  He also worked part-time for years in hospitality at Pompano Harness (now the "Isle").

Joe was a warm, loving man, that people, young and old, wanted to be around.  He was funny and positive.  He had many stories of times gone by.  He was an avid roller skater in Staten Island, which is where he met his wife, Marion.  He was a great dancer, and an amazing tennis player, which he loved. Joe will be most remembered for loving and supporting his family, working hard and enjoying life. For his cute smile, chuckle in his laugh, and the warmth and love he showed for others.

Joe will be cremated, therefore, in lieu of flowers, please wait for a future celebration of his life that will be celebrated by his children, after Covid restrictions are lifted.
