Joseph F. Kivlan, 79, of Margate, Florida passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Northwest Medical Center in Margate, Florida. Joe was born on Tuesday, August 22, 1933 to Adelade and Thomas Kivlan in North Bergen, New Jersey. Joe was raised in Union City, NJ before joining the Army as a young and dapper soldier. He swept Marilyn O'Brien (1931-1997) off her feet and they married on July 4th, 1952 and briefly lived in Mineral Wells, Texas. They raised a family of four children. John (1955-1990), William and Joanne (twins - 1957), and Barbara (1960). Joe was a loving husband and father. Joe was a 25 year veteran and Retired Firefighter at Truck #1 in West New York, NJ. He also worked for almost 40 years at Columbian Art Metal in Guttenberg, NJ working with Ornamental Bronze. He is now survived by his son William who lives in Hollywood, Md, daughter Joanne Melendez of Hallandale, FL, and daughter Barbara Bellani of Margate, FL, and his sister Helen Henkel of Secaucus, NJ. He is also survived by his Fianc and life partner Marjorie Orndorff of Coral Springs, FL.
