Joseph "Whitey" Bouffard passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. Born in New York, he was third in a family of 6 children, Ed, Larry, Joseph, Donald, Frank, and Marie. He married Dorothy "Dottie" Schultz in 1949; served in the Army and was stationed in Germany from 1952 to 1954. After returning to the United States, he worked with his father who was a subcontractor for William Levitt who built the sprawling Levittown communities. He and his brother Don eventually took over their Dad's business and continued residential and commercial construction for many years.  Whitey and Dottie raised their family, daughter Linda Bouffard Cohen and son Joseph K Bouffard in Pennsylvania. After Whitey retired in 1995, Whitey and Dottie moved to Pompano Beach, FL There Whitey/Joe spent 19 years as a school bus driver for PineCrest Schools. Whitey always liked to laugh and have fun; was an avid golfer; and caring person. Whitey will be sorely missed by his wife Dottie of 71 years, his son Joseph and daughter Linda and husband Michael Kiefer; their grandchildren, Joseph Michalik (wife Lauren),  Alicia Schwitzer (husband Jason), Joshua Cohen( wife Rachel), Chistopher Kiefer(wife Diana) and David Kiefer; four great-grandchildern, many nephews and neices, and his cherised pal "Woody" his Senegal parrot. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society.
