Joe was born in Philadelphia, PA to Joseph Francis Baile Jr. and Evelyn (Jones) Baile. He passed away peacefully at his home of 44 years in Coral Springs. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Kristie Ann Baile, three children, Tracy (Chris) Lombardozzi, Tanya (Chris) Cochran and Joseph (Monica) Baile IV; seven grandchildren, Justin (Nicole) Lombardozzi, Jason Lombardozzi, Nicholas (Cassidy) Lombardozzi, Jenna (Sam) Pyo, Joseph Francis Baile V, Ashley Baile, and Emily Baile; six great-grandchildren, Bella, Tobias, Oaklyn, Bria, Luca, and Hadley.
Joe was a graduate of Nether Providence High School where he was the Vice President of his Senior Class. He then attended Union College earning a degree in Economics. He served in the Air Force from 1962-1965. He was stationed in Amarillo, TX during the Cuban Missile Crisis and then Truax Field in Madison, WI. After the Air Force, he worked for IBM from 1965-1974. He worked for the Miami Herald starting in 1987 and retired in 2001.
Joe was an enthusiastic sports fan (Philadelphia then Miami). His ability to solve problems, communicate and connect with people will always be remembered. He will be greatly missed for his sense of humor and concern for others. Everyone reading this would agree that he was approachable, made them feel heard and valued. His grandchildren always loved and appreciated their deep and intentional conversations with their Poppy He would accurately recall people, dates, and events to connect the past to the present, a living history book for his family. He loved his life, family, and friends. He joked that in retirement he became an expert in TIVO programming and would eventually die as most, if not all do!
