Jose Raul Valentin, 79, of Sunrise, FL passed away on December 19, 2015. Born on June 26, 1936 in Puerto Rico, the family relocated to New York in the mid 1940's. Raul proudly served his country with the National Guard, Army and Marines. He loved the outdoors, dominoes, and was endlessly tinkering around the home. Raul was very proud of reaching the summit of Mount Pisgah in Vermont at the age of 72. Survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Norma, and four children, son, Peter and his wife Karen Guisao and their children Nicholas and Alexa, his daughter, Milagros and her husband Pablo Lopez and their children Vanessa, Priscilla and Selena, his son, Joseph and his wife Claudia Valentin and their children Keilah and Jaiden, and his daughter, Nilsa and her husband Gary Springer and their children Alexander, Samantha and Madison. He also leaves two great grandchildren, Isabella Lopez and Jonathan Cruz. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. with a service beginning at 4:00 P.M.
