On Wednesday, April 3, 2019, Jose Rios, loving husband and father of 5 children passed away at the age of 76.

Jose was born on October 19, 1942 in Gurabo, Puerto Rico to Basilio and Asuncion Rios. In June of 1980 he met and fell in love with his soulmate, Ana Maria Castro. They raised two daughters, Maribel and Marisol, and a son, Jose Luis.

Jose was dedicated and devoted to the Catholic Church, and driven by his passion and desire to help others. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, Desiree, Jyselle, Jalen, Julian, Deanaliz, and Jyanna and going to the park. When not with his family, Jose dedicated his time to his church family, Los Hermanos Emaus and La Legion de Maria.

Jose was preceded in death by his father, Basilio, his mother, Asuncion, and 5 siblings. He is survived by his wife Ana, his 5 children Maribel, Marisol, Joey, Susie, and Carmen, his grandchildren Desiree, Jyselle, Jalen, Julian, Deana, Jyanna, Carlos, David, Alyssa, and Tiana, and his great-grandson Carlos, 4 sisters, 3 brothers, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a wake service for Jose, which will be held in Coral Springs Funeral Home at 1420 N University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33071 on Monday, April 22nd from 1pm to 5pm. Mass service will be held in St. Andrews Catholic Church at 9950 NW 29th Street, Coral Springs, FL 33065 on Tuesday, April 23rd commencing at 11am, to be followed by internment in the Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
