La tarde del viernes 6 de Agosto de 2021, solo 3 días después de llegar a Florida y después de ordenar en un restaurante colombiano en Coral Springs junto a su familia, falleció Jose Ignacio Guerrero Figueroa, más conocido como "Chepe", de un ataque al corazón masivo fulminante a los 75 años. Chepe nació en El Tambo (Nariño, Colombia) el 30 de Agosto de 1945, siendo el tercero de 10 hermanos quienes se asentaron en La Cumbre (Valle, Colombia). Frenero de los Ferrocarriles Nacionales de Colombia, se casó con su amor de toda la vida: Lucy Ramirez, con quien tuvo tres hijos: Liliana, Nacho y Jorge. Después de un grave accidente que lo dejó incapacitado en su columna, se pensionó de FNC en 1988 y se dedicó a amar a su esposa, a educar a sus hijos y a inculcarles los valores de Bondad, Honestidad, Integridad, Lealtad y Amor a la Familia y los amigos. Siempre se recordará a Chepe por su gusto por las reuniones familiares, la música y películas mexicanas, su Moto Kawasaki azul, la primera moto en La Cumbre (su segundo amor), los juegos de billar con sus amigos de la calle 15 en Cali, filmar las Pavas en la finca además de coleccionar muchos tesoros y recuerdos en su baúl, en los que se encuentran un pantalón de bebé que aprendió a coser y la bandera del América de Cali, su equipo del Alma. Su familia quienes viajaron desde NC, TX, Mexico y Colombia, ofrecerá los servicios fúnebres este Jueves 12 de Agosto en Coral Springs Funeral Home 1420 N University Dr, 33071, FL.
On the afternoon of Friday, August 6th 2021, just 3 days after arriving in Florida and after ordering at a Colombian restaurant in Coral Springs with his family, Jose Ignacio Guerrero Figueroa, better known as "Chepe", passed away due a massive fulminant heart attack at the age of 75. Chepe was born in El Tambo (Nariño, Colombia) on August 30th 1945, being the third of 10 siblings who settled in La Cumbre (Valle, Colombia). Working at the National Railways of Colombia (FNC), he married the love of his whole life: Lucy Ramirez, with whom he had three children: Liliana, Nacho and Jorge. After a serious accident that left him incapacitated in his column, he retired from FNC in 1988 and dedicated himself to loving his wife, educating his children and instilling in them the values ​​of Kindness, Honesty, Integrity, Loyalty and Love for the Family and friends. Chepe will always be remembered for his love of family gatherings, Mexican music and movies, his blue Kawasaki Moto, the first motorcycle in La Cumbre (his second love), billiards games with his friends on Calle 15 in Cali, filming the Pavas on the farm in addition to collecting many memories in his treasure chest, including a baby trousers that he learned to sew and the  América de Cali flag, his soul team. His family who traveled from NC, TX, Mexico and Colombia, will offer funeral services this Thursday, August 12 at Coral Springs Funeral Home 1420 N University Dr, 33071, FL.
