John Machado, 73, passed away on April 28, 2014 surrounded by family and love. He was born on January 23, 1941 in Havana, Cuba. John was a perfect depiction of a son of God. He took in the fatherless and the down trodden and welcomed them with open arms, always. He affected so many people's lives, not just by helping them in their time of need, but by being a true example of how one should live life. Through every action and every word he spoke, you could see God's message shine through. He cared for his family more than himself. His relationships with them were ones to admire and cherish simply because of how much love, support, and closeness was vividly present each day. He was a great man in all aspects of his life; husband, brother, father, grandfather, Pastor, friend, role model, teacher, and Christian. God needed an especially strong soldier the day he called upon John Machado. He will be missed here on Earth more than words can express, but we know that he is doing great things in heaven. He is finally at peace and his legacy will live on forever, through all of us. John is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth "Gayle" Machado Daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Machado Lockhart (Roland) of Sunrise, FL Daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia Machado-Flippen (Curtis) of Secaucus, NJ Grandchildren, Kilee Machado and Slade Lockhart and his sisters, Ada Rodriguez and Norma Perez.
