IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jimmy
Wiggins
December 13, 1955 – March 10, 2023
Jimmy (James) Lester Wiggins
Jimmy Lester Wiggins passed away on March 10th, 2023, in North Lauderdale, FL. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on December 13th, 1955. He was succeeding in death by his parents Doris R. and Thurston Wiggins, sisters Joy Denise and Penny Renee Wiggins. He is survived by his partner Juan Cordoba, children Montino and Tiffany Hardy, and siblings Lee Drake, Rhonda, and Warren Wiggins.
From his partner,
This is such a shock; we never saw this coming. I am waiting to wake up, I need to wake up from this nasty nightmare. I know you never wanted to leave me but, it's ok. It may take me a little while, but I will be ok or at least as close to "ok" as I can possibly get to. It has been so hard these last few days, but your sisters, brother and Mono have been my rock. I am lucky I have them in my life now.
I need to thank you and please understand that I am eternally grateful that you walked into my life. You are a both a blessing and an angel that God has sent me. Not only did you show me how to be a man and helped me grow to be the person you see today but you have shown me how to love and more importantly how to love myself. You have given (shown) and guided me through many different types of life lessons by just giving me your love, by standing next to me and at times behind me - letting me take the lead (sometimes… lol). You have also given me all the respect and encouragement I could ever needed to continue to be the man you love. I will never want to be less than the man you fell in love with. I will continue to push myself to be that person... promise.
In informing our friends and families, you have impacted every signal person we know. You have touched their heart in such a profound manner. Not everyone can say they were a catalyst to so many peoples' lives. I know you would want me to find "love" again but for that to happen I'm going to need your help in "moving on" because I'm not sure I will be able to do it on my own. You were/are always the stronger one.
I will never be able to say goodbye - this is just "see you later gator"! I hate this circumstance that has me writing this letter, but this goes without saying - I love you with ALL of my HEART my greenish-bluish-eyed-baby. Hey, do you remember what I use to say when we were saying good night over the phone a long time ago… – "Close your eyes and dream of me because I'll be dreaming of you and that way, we will be able to see each other."
Juan Cordoba.
From his son,
To some, Jim was a partner, father, Brother, Uncle, friend, but however he came into one's life they truly were lucky to have known such a special man. He was caring, respectful, and compassionate. Not only a wealth of knowledge but an awesome personality topped with a wonderful sense of humor. He made you laugh with silly jokes. He taught you something about anything and everything. He was a shoulder to cry on and the stern voice to guide you when you seemed lost. He eagerly took on a responsibility many years ago where many would have walked away. He took on the role of Dad which was his best trait to me. A better man is hard to find when you know guy's like Jim Wiggins. He will truly be loved, missed, and never forgotten.
Montino Hardy.
From the Wiggins Family,
Jimmy dedicated his life to mentoring and caring for his family and friends. He was constantly "the big brother", kind and respectful to everyone who walked into his life, and he is one of the most unselfish persons you can ever meet. Jimmy was the best "big brother", always taking care of us, guiding us, and protecting us to the very end. You are loved beyond measure and will always be in our hearts.
Lee Drake, Rhonda, and Warren Wiggins
