James "Jimi" Robert Walker, 68, of Coral Springs, FL, passed away unexpectedly on June 14, 2015 at home in Coral Springs, FL from a heart attack as a result of health conditions related to his service in Vietnam. He was born on July 22, 1946 in Rockville Centre, NY to the late Alexander and Ruth (Glenn) Walker. Jimi is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Sheryl; his children, Jennifer and Andrew; his sister-in-law, Susan; and their spunky, family dog, Leroy.
Jimi was truly an amazing husband and father and will be deeply missed. He had a joke for everything and always made everyone around him laugh. Jimi proudly served our nation with the United States Army during Vietnam. He was honorably discharged after becoming injured during service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory and honor to Wounded Warrior Project. A Graveside Service will be held at South Florida National Cemetery on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. If you wish to attend the graveside service, please follow signs for "Services" and travel to lane 1 and stop. Family and friends will process to the committal shelter together from that point.
