James (Jim) E. McGlone, 72, of Sunrise, FL entered into eternal rest on Thursday December 1, 2022. He is survived by his Wife of 49 years, Jackie McGlone, as well as his children Shanna Denny and Andrea McGlone. Also left to cherish his memory are his 7 grandchildren, Axton, Trinity, Lily, Chase, Justis , Quinn and Logen , as well as his brother Tom McGlone and sister Lynda Gallagher. He is preceded in death by his father, James (Woody) McGlone, his mother Patricia (Pat) McGlone, and sister Kathy McGlone.

Jim was born on November 25, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan to his parents Pat and Woody McGlone. While in college he met the love of his life, Jackie, and they were married in 197 3. Together they welcomed two daughters into their life in the beautiful desert of Arizona where Jim enjoyed hiking, the outdoors, and spending time with his family and extended family . Jim and Jackie were t wo wonderful teachers with a passion for kids . They opened a daycare center in Arizona, which they ran for many years. In 1988, Jim and Jackie moved their family to sunny Florida where they finished raising their daughters , changing careers, living life, keeping family as their focus, and eventually being the proud grandparents of 7 grandkids.

Jim was a very kind, caring man who put God and family at the top of his priorities. He often showed compassion to friends and strangers. He always strived to do the right thing and lived by Love as his guide. Jim also loved to cook and make delicious meals for his family and friends , anything from a sandwich made with love to an extravagant holiday meal . He will be missed greatly, but joyful hearts remain knowing he is in our future in heaven with Jesus as our savior, redeemer, healer, and friend.

Visitation will be held at Coral Springs Funeral Home on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the All Saints Catholic Church in Sunrise, FL at 10:00am with burial to follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in North Ft. Lauderdale, FL at 11:30 a m.
