Isaac Soodeen, 81, of Margate, FL, entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 9, 2024. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Farida Soodeen, as well as his cherished children, Ann- Marie, Reann, and Rickey. Also left to treasure his memory are his four adored grandchildren, Amrit, Nishana, Aleeya, and Arianna, along with his brothers Robin and Stebbin Soodeen. His extended family includes a host of nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart: Reuben, Ken, Markey, Daniel, Jerry, Peggy, Ralph Jr., Rodney, Ronnie, Trisha, Terianna, Aniel, Kavita, Carissa, and Vani. Isaac was preceded in death by his parents, Ramsoroop and Amina Soodeen, and his siblings, Roy, Kelvin, and Ralph Soodeen.

Born on July 27, 1943, in Caratal Village, Trinidad, Isaac was the second child of his parents. He attended Caratal Elementary School and pursued studies at a technical college. In 1989, he moved to Florida with his family, embracing a new chapter of life. Isaac's love for cricket was legendary, and it was during a game in Friendship Village that he met his wife, Farida. Their relationship led to a lifelong partnership, and together they raised three wonderful children. As a young father, Isaac worked tirelessly to provide for his family.

If there's one word to describe Isaac, it would be "unforgettable." He had a way of leaving an impression on everyone he met. With a sharp wit and a playful sense of humor, he was known as the family "entertainer," always ready with a cheeky comment followed by, "I'm joking." Isaac's remarks were honest — sometimes too honest — but they were always spoken with love. His sharp wit and sly remarks often evoked both laughter and reflection in equal measure.

Cricket may have been his passion, but his greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren. His grandson was the apple of his eye until his granddaughters arrived, each stealing his heart in their own unique way. He had a heart big enough to embrace his friends, neighbors, and even strangers. He was a steadfast supporter of charities, with St. Jude's and Doctors Without Borders holding a special place in his heart.

The past year brought its share of health challenges, but Isaac's spirit remained unwavering. Despite multiple ER visits and setbacks, he kept a positive outlook. Even in his final moments, he truly believed he had another 20 years ahead of him. His passing came so quickly that it felt as though he had more time to share with us. While he may not have always known how to express it, Isaac deeply appreciated everything we all did for him. He blessed this world with 81 unforgettable years, and his legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Visitation and funeral services will be held at Coral Springs Funeral Home on Friday, December 13, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A repast will follow from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lauderdale Lakes Educational & Cultural Center, located at 3580 W Oakland Park Blvd, Lauderdale Lakes, FL 33319.
