Henry Robert "Bob" Schulz, 83 of Coconut Creek, FL passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his family. Bob was born October 19, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Gertrude and Henry Schulz.
Bob was raised in Brooklyn and Queens, graduating from high school there. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. After that, Bob began his 40 year career with AFA Protective Systems, working his way up to Co-Manager of the NY office. In 1997 he retired and relocated to Boca Raton, FL.
Bob loved sports, he was a loyal NY Giants and Yankees fan, he especially loved baseball, golf, softball and boxing, where he boxed in the Golden Gloves and is in the Softball Hall of Fame. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and will be sorely missed.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Lisa A. Schulz; children, Kathleen Santoro,
Theresa Ferro, Elizabeth Brand, and Robert Schulz; step-children, George (Shana) Milano and Nicholas (Annmarie) Milano; 18 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; sister, Gertrude Gillon and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM, and 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Savino Funeral Home in Margate, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 31, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1401 Coral Ridge Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33071.
