Hector Jesus Aedo, 76, of Margate, FL died on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 after complications from knee surgery. Hector was born December 26, 1937 in Havana, Cuba to Antonio and Zenaida Aedo.
Hector was a caring man who believed in the calming powers of the ocean. He spent every weekend on his Dusky; he loved boating and fishing. Hector had a fantastic sense of humor and he loved to tell stories and jokes. He met his beloved wife, Paula, 40 years ago and they married five years later in Las Vegas. They have been inseperable since then. Hector and Paula moved to California and after 14 beautiful years there, they decided it was time to move back to South Florida. They settled in Coral Springs and after many trips to the Keys for their boating excursions, the Aedo's purchased a second home on Key Largo.
Hector is survived by his wife, Paula M. Aedo; and his children, Elvira Aedo-Dago, Hector A. Aedo, Sara Aedo, Rolando Aedo, Juan Carlos Aedo, Raquel Aedo-Temple, Antonio J. Aedo, and Andrea P. Aedo. He also leaves his grandchildren, Tahlia, Ursula, Mila, Rene III, Giancarlo, Monique, Devin, Brianna, Isabella, Marcello, Jullien, Jianna, Leonardo, Lucia, Valentina, and Gavin; his great grandchildren, Summer Lily and Kai Valentino; and two granddaughters that are due to be born, Helena and Hollyn to cherish his memory. Hector was preceded in death by his brothers, Fernando and Antonio.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at Coral Springs Funeral Home on Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., with a Memorial Service at 2:30 P.M.
