Harold J. Lind, 82, of Margate, Florida passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Born and raised in Hoboken, New Jersey, Harold later proudly served as a Marine in the United States Military.

While living in Jersey City, early on, he was a bus driver for the Greyhound Lines.  During that time he traveled extensively across the Northeast throughout upstate New York and Canada, including Cooperstown and Niagara Falls.   He went on to work for Bankers Trust Company for over 30 years in New York City and Jersey City.

Harold settled in Piscataway, NJ to raise his family with his beloved wife, Marie.  They were married for 52 years. They enjoyed hosting family gatherings on holidays and summer vacations at Camp Baker in Upstate New York.  His nieces and nephews have fond memories of spending time at the campground.

He retired to Margate, Florida in 2010.  Harold enjoyed playing golf, especially with his beloved son, John.  In addition, he followed many sports along with the NY Yankees and enjoyed putting together picture puzzles.  He also loved to travel, spending time on trips with his dear wife and much loved daughter, Debbie, traveling on cruises to Europe, Scandinavia, Sweden and Cuba.

Harold was loved by all and always will be remembered as a good man who cared dearly for his wife and children, his sister, Selma, and his many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.  Harold was always kind, with an easy-going way and an ability to tell a wonderful and interesting story from the past that would bring a warm smile to all.

He is preceded in death by his beloved son, John A. Lind, and his dear sister, Selma Lind Abicca.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 52 years, Marie Kunkel Lind, his dearly loved daughter, Deborah Lind, as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 24 th , from 2 pm to 5 pm at Coral Springs Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 25 th , at 10 am at St. Vincent's Catholic Church, Margate, FL.

Burial services will be held on Friday, October 29 th , at 11:00 am at Ponte Vedra Valley Cemetary in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.
