IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Georgina B.
Espinoza
August 5, 1949 – June 8, 2022
Georgina "Gina" Belinda Espinoza, 72, of Parkland, FL, was welcomed into heaven on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Jane and Alfredo; Vanessa and Rob; Jill and Derek; Cheryl and Darren; and Albert and Alicia. Also left to cherish her beautiful memories are her 10 grandchildren, Raquel, 18; Evan, 17; Brooke, 15; Haley, 12; Alexys, 13; Maximus, 10; Elizabeth, 4; Ethan, 9; Eli, 6; and Grayson, 3. She is preceded in death by her husband Alberto Espinoza and sister Sara Martinez.
Gina was born on August 5, 1949 in Guayaquil, Ecuador to her parents Juana Escobar and Jorge Perez. She was an adventurous soul and left Ecuador as a young adult to New York City where she fortunately met the love of her life, Alberto Espinoza. She studied cosmetology and entered the beauty industry with full force for many years. Eventually, looking for more sunshine, the family moved to Florida and her love of children lead her to work as a preschool teacher and director.
Gina was a very creative soul. While she was great at hair and makeup, she also loved crafts, painting, and was a remarkable seamstress and designer. She made everything from costumes to suits, pageant gowns, bridesmaid's dresses, and stunning wedding dresses for her kids. She was a true designer. She had a great love for animals and had many through the years until her beloved kitty, Buffy, passed away in 2018. She was a movie connoisseur and could name most any movie scene from the past or present. She hosted and enjoyed many memorable family parties where she could out dance anyone and was happy to lure all to the dance floor. Her biggest joy and comfort in life was to be loved and surrounded by her kids, grandchildren, including the furry ones, her own mother, siblings, nephews, nieces and family friends.
Gina, Mami Gina, La China, Mami G….is greatly missed and cherished forever more. May she Rest in Peace.
