Spirio, George P. of Margate, FL passed away on Friday, November 14th, 2014, at the age of 91. Born Saturday, October 27, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY, he was one of ten children born to Gerlando and Carolina Spirio. He proudly served his country as an Army infantryman during WWII from 1943 to 1946. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal. George moved to South Florida in 1968. He is survived by his son George and his wife Debbie, daughter Debra, daughter Donna and grandchildren Lisa, Brian, Brandon and Kyle. He is also survived by three great-granddaughters, Ashleigh, Nicole and Megan. Memorial donations may be made in George's name to the St Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
