Frank J. Cavaioli, 92 of Parkland, Florida entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 4, 2022.
He is survived by children Karen Philips, Kevin Cavaioli, Linda Bertman, Diane Chambers, Frank Cavaioli, Christine Skrypek: and grandchildren Kerry Gerlach, Katherine Grefe, Lindsay Kettler, Regina Miller, Monica Cruz, Brian Bertman, Jamie Bertman, Kyle Chambers, Amanda Chambers, Samantha Cavaioli, Jack Cavaioli, Katherine Skrypek, Jenna Skrypek; and great grandchildren Madeline Macke, Owen Gerlach, Blake Gerlach, Zoey Cruz, Wade Cruz, Dillon Kettler, Davis Kettler, Mae Grefe; and brother-in-law John LaPadula; and nephews Stephen LaPadula, Andrew LaPadula; and niece Suzanne Saslofsky.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife Lorraine Blake Cavaioli; and sister-in-law Christine Kovacs LaPadula; and mother Anna Capoccia Cavaioli; and father Frank Cavaioli; and brother Raymond Cavaioli.
Frank was born on the 7th of January 1930 to Anna and Frank Cavaioli. He grew up in Corona, NY and attended Newtown High School, The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and St. Johns University, Jamaica, NY where he earned his MA and PhD degrees in United States history and government.
Lorraine and Frank were married for 65 years and raised their six children. In 1991 they moved from Long Island, NY to Florida where they enjoyed beachside living for many years.
Frank taught at many levels, from 6th grade to college. He attained the position of full professor at The State University of New York at Farmingdale from which he retired in 1991. He also taught at Nassau Community College. Frank is an author who has published many books and articles on the subjects of ethnicity, government, and local history. He was active as a Lecter in several Catholic parishes, including Mary Help of Christians, Parkland, FL. Since 2013 Frank has been happily involved in the Aston Gardens community.
