Florence Futch, a long time resident of Plantation, FL and most recently Bloomington, IL died peacefully at age 80 on Wednesday, January 13, 2016. Flo was an elementary school teacher and librarian for the Broward County School District for many years. Flo was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynn Futch. Surviving are sons Lee (Penny) of Plantation and Dan (Melanie) of Bloomington, IL. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Mallory Cooney, Corinne Futch, Riley Futch, Erin Yarbrough and Kelly Yarbrough. Flo had many friends throughout the years: her golfing partners at Ft. Lauderdale Country Club, her neighbors on 7th Street and her co-workers at the elementary schools where she worked. In lieu of a funeral or visitation, the family will be hosting a small gathering at the Coral Springs Funeral Home from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 17, 2016.
