Fernando N. Vivanco, 54, of Coral Springs, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in Coral Springs. Fernando was born April 16, 1959 in Chincha, Ica, Peru to Fernando and Shirley (Alvarez) Vivanco. Fernando married Margot on March 7, 1987 in Peru. In 1989, with their son Nandy in tow, the family left Peru and moved to North Miami Beach and eventually settled in Coral Springs. Fernando could be considered a jack of all trades. In Peru and the States, Fernando worked as an English teacher. He was very proud of obtaining his pilot's license in Peru. He later worked in medical records and most recently as a financial aid advisor. He knew his way around the kitchen and enjoyed cooking a lot; he was a true chef! Fernando also could make a fantastic drink and he was the bartender for the all family barbecues. Family was extremely important to Fernando. He regularly had movie dates with Melissa, weekend beers with Nandy, and played with the family dog, Chica. The true passion in his life, however, was his wife, Margot. In November of 2012, Fernando was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. In February he was admitted to the hospital with breathing problems. Sadly was not able to leave the hospital. He passed way on June 4 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Margot Vivanco; their children, Fernando Andres Vivanco and Melissa Nicole Vivanco; and his mother, Shirley Vivanco. Also left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Victoria and Rafael; and nephew, Enrique. He was preceded in death by his father, Fernando Vivanco.
