Felipe Burgos Robles, 68, of North Lauderdale, Florida. Joined Christ on Friday, May 22, 2026. He survived by his wife, Maria V. Benitez of 37 years. Felipe has four children, Debbie Skinner, Glenda Burgos, Felipe Burgos Jr, and Christina Burgos. His grandchildren also will continue on with his legacy of kindness. He’s proceeded in death by his son, Jerry Ortiz.

Felipe was born in, Cayey, Puerto Rico on August 22, 1958. He spent many years in Rochester prior to moving to Florida. Felipe worked at Gulf Stream Race Track as a Stuart. Anyone who knew him knew his dedication to his job and his family.

He was a man who enjoyed the little things in life, salsa music and good food. Felipe had his own famous catch lines, “ is this a party or what?” And “ God bless Puerto Rico”. Felipe was very proud of being Puerto Rican. Any opportunity he had to share the history of famous Puerto Rican Athletes or music artists. That proudness was contagious. He was always joyful even on the hardest of days, he was singing. Felipe, regardless of whatever you had asked for he did his best to support you. He was a good father, and never a question of how much he loved his children and grandchildren. His legacy, will carry on through all that knew him.
