Mother Eutetra Prussia of Coral Springs, Florida died peacefully at University Hospital in Tamarac, FL on August 9th, 2013 at 6:40 P.M. She was born on December 19th, 1915 in St. Thomas, Jamaica, WI. She was one of 8 children. Mother Prussia was blessed with 4 children of her own, Louis, Charles, Lloyd and Gloria before immigrating to England in 1956, residing in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. She thrived in her new environment, working hard at Joseph Sankey and Son. She often joked: "I am going to wring Sankey iron." As part of the first wave of West Indians to move to the West Midlands, Miss Euty was very helpful to new arrivals in settling into the community and establishing themselves there. Her husband John Prussia died in 1964 and after retiring from "Sankey", she migrated to the US in 1979 where she continued the practice of nuturing and helping others establish themselves. In the U.S., Mother Prussia was employed by medical personnel pool where as a home health aide she provided care to the elderly, who were often a lot younger than her. Mother Prussia is survived by 3 children: Louis Irving of Kingston, Jamaica, Lloyd George of Birmingham, England and Gloria Loleta of Coral Springs, Florida; her brother, Vernal Brown of St. Thomas, Jamaica; 16 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives friends and loved ones.
