Emel Arthur King was born to Lucille and Alvan King on February 16, 1947 in Buff Bay, Jamaica, W.I. Emel was the 13th child out of 14 children. He attended Mount Hermon School in Buff Bay, Jamaica. While in Jamaica, Emel became the guardian over his nieces and nephews. In 1981 he migrated to the United States. Emel spent his life in sales and was a very successful in many industries, most notably in car sales. On November 26, 1988 he married the love of his life, Judith King. Soon after, they relocated to South Florida. Emel and Judy recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Emel was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting deer, and bird shooting in the hills of Jamaica. Emel was an EXCELLENT chef. He was especially known for his jerk chicken and pork and would remix a dish effortlessly. His signature rum punch was a staple at family events. Emel was also known for his insightful advice and "talks" that he would give about life and love. On December 29, 2013 he succumbed to failing health. Emel leaves to mourn his wife Judy, his children Sean (Jeanell), Sjaun, Ramon (Carolyn), Natalie ,Andre, Kevin, Eric, grandchildren Mark, Jamelle, Kennedy, Zoe, Zoya, London, Kevin, Kevon, Zaid, Devin, Treyvon, Kymorni, Rheanna, Kaysha, Elijah, brothers Reynold, Radcliffe and Leon, sisters Sybil, Phillipa, Lois, Lorraine, and Leonie. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. May you Emel King, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend, rest in peace.
