Elsie A. Winship of Coral Springs, Florida, passed away on August 31, 2014 after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Thomas who preceded her in death by 3 days. Elsie was born on November 2, 1928, in Newark and lived in Belleville, New Jersey until retiring to Florida more than 20 years ago. Elsie taught math at Belleville High School for many years. After moving to Florida she began her second career as a library assistant at the Parkland Library only retiring in January of 2014. Thomas and Elsie were also medical record custodians for Sawgrass Pediatrics in Coral Springs. Elsie loved music and was a long time member of her church choirs in both Belleville and Coconut Creek, Florida and recently the choir at Park Summit. Elsie is survived by her daughters, Susan Waters (husband Barry) and Linda Manning (husband Andrew) and her brother, William M. Aierstok (wife Nancy). Her additional family members include grandchildren - Brian, Jillian, Adam, Emily, and Michael and great grandchild - Asher Thomas. A Service of Remembrance was held at North Creek Presbyterian Church, Coconut Creek, Florida on September 2, 2014 at 12:30 PM. Elsie was interred with her husband at the South Florida VA National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkland Friends of the Library .
