IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elizabeth Fabrizio
Schilling
April 1, 1927 – January 4, 2025
Elizabeth Fabrizio Schilling was born on April 1st, 1927, in the Bronx, NY and was born to her immigrant Italian mother, Antoniette Vasti, and her father, Frank Fabrizio. She grew up and went to school in NYC until she married Louis and moved to Miami, Florida in the 1950's. After her divorce, she remained in Miami to raise her three children, Toni, Marian and Philip. She then met the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Henry Schilling. Her family was complete when she gave birth to her last daughter, Janet. She remained in Miami until 1996 when her and Bob decided to be closer to their two daughters, Janet and Marian. They moved to Cooper City, Florida and she remained in that house until her passing.
Elizabeth also known as Betina, Betty, Liz and Cousin E was proud of her Italian heritage. She would play Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra songs on Sunday. And when the grandchildren were around, she made sure they had plenty to eat. In her own way, she showed the importance of family gatherings, and that family always came first. She helped raise her grandson, Robert and was famous for her own style of waking up her other grandchildren – Andrew and Angela to give them a ride to school. She was famous for her lentils with hot dogs, baked ziti and meatballs!
She was proud of all her children and grandchildren and their accomplishments. She is survived by her four children/(spouses) Toni, Marian, Philip (Tiffani), and Janet (Louis) and grandchildren/(spouses), Carolina (Jen), Michael (Aliesha), Anthony (Cristina), Angela (Arthur), Andrew (Brittany) and Robert. She also has two great grandsons, Jude and Nickarie and a great granddaughter Cecilia.
When she passed, she was surrounded by family and her angel and caregiver, Althea Barrett who had been helping the family for the last 15 years. Elizabeth lived a full life of 97 years. Now she is reunited with her loved ones that have also passed – she can now dance with Bob, again.
In her honor a "Jack Daniels" toast to her life and her love.
