Elisabeth Dejean-Momplaisir, born to Suzelie Norburn and Felix Dejean in Grand Goave, Haiti on August 14, 1952. Living a life grounded in faith she relocated to the United States on October 13, 1967, at the age of 15. Elisabeth Dejean-Momplaisir spirituality allowed her to leave a family legacy that will resonate in the lives who succeed her. She is survived by her loving husband Frantz Momplaisir; Ambitious Children, Gerry Momplaisir, Ronald Momplaisir, Jonathan Momplaisir, and Francesca Momplaisir; Beloved Grandchildren, Jahron Momplaisir, Tatiana Peoples, Madelynne Campbell, Shia Momplaisir, Tiana Momplaisir, Jonah Rogers, Skylar Mae Momplaisir, and Leah Rogers; Living Siblings; Marie Yves Bidon, Roosevelt Dejean, Jacqueline Gravesande, Franklin Dejean, Maryse Dejean Jackson and Departed siblings; Pierre Dejean, Rosemarie Dejean, Paul Dejean, Delano Dejean. All of whom she loved and cared for deeply during her life journey.
An advocate for education, she obtained a degree in nursing after graduating from Staten Island College in New York. For 13 years she dedicated her life as a nurse at Lutheran Medical Center, and retired from Memorial Regional Hospital after 27 years of service. She is fondly remembered for her work in the maternity ward, caring for newborns and new mothers. She personified "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends."John 15:13. Elisabeth knew of no stranger in life, and when you encountered her she made you feel like family.
Elisabeth Dejean married the love of her life, Frantz Momplaisir, on June 4, 1982 in Brooklyn, NY. They spent 38 wonderful years together, raising their children and grandchildren in the South Florida area. In Elisabeth Dejean leisure time she enjoyed traveling with her husband, playing cards, and reading her bible. A philanthropist, she frequently donated to many charities. The legacy of Elisabeth Dejean-Momplaisir kindness, love and genuine spirit will forever be present in all the lives she touched. "There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all." Proverbs 21:29
Elisabeth transitioned to her heavenly home on December 30, 2020 leaving behind memories that will be cherished forever.

Family requests that all attendees wear white to the memorial service.
