Eleanor C. Gianna, 82, of Coral Springs, FL passed away on February 24, 2015 at Broward Health Coral Springs after a complications from a stroke. Eleanor was born on August 21, 1932 in Queens, NY to Charles and Josephine Cimo.

Eleanor was married to Al Gianna and they resided in Queens and Merrick, Long Island. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. The Gianna family moved from Long Island to Sunrise, FL before settling in Coral Springs. Eleanor enjoyed the many years she spent as a math teacher in New York and later as a substitute teacher in Florida.

Eleanor is survived by her adoring husband of 57 years, Alfred Gianna; her daughters, Nancy (David) DeVos and Lenore (Tom) Grey; and her grandchildren, Matthew and Michael Grey, and Lawrence and Michelle DeVos.

Friends may call on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Coral Springs Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Andrew Catholic Church on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Eleanor will be laid to rest at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
