Alexander P.E (Joykutty) passed away peacefully on Christmas Day of 2019 at the University of Miami Hospital. Born March 27,1947 in Thodupuzha as the eldest son of the Late Easo C. Chandy(Rtd. Headmaster) and Mariamma T. V (Rtd.Headmistress), he studied at St. Joseph's H.S, Karimannoor, Bachelor's from St. Thomas College, Kozhencherry and Bangalore University. He joined as a high school teacher in Palakkad teaching Mathematics and later was transferred to the Idukki Dist., and retired from Govt. Girls H.S.S, Thodupuzha in 2002. He was devoted, loved and respected teacher to his students, and a cheerful and witty companion to his colleagues.

Alexander came to the US in 2010, spending his retired life between Florida, NY and Kerala. While living in US, he was nostalgic about his home country, his land holdings, friends, relatives and former coworkers. He lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, like chatting with his friends and family members and spending time with his grandchildren. He had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.

Alexander is survived by his wife Mohana (Rtd. Teacher) and his two sons: Binu and Anu Alex, daughters- in- law : Litty and Preethy, two younger brothers and three sisters. He will be dearly missed.
