Dorothy "Fudgie" Delatorre-Leverock , 65, of Brooklyn, NY passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at NorthWest Medical Center in Margate, Florida. She was born Friday, June 20, 1947 to Michael Delatorre and Dorothy Groth. Fudgie is survived by her loving husband, Raymond, of 45 years, her daughters and son-in-laws, Michele and Patrick Solomita and Stephanie and Mark Scarabaggio. She was adored by her 5 grandchildren: Christina, Patrick, Dorothy, Vincent and Madeline, as well as her Shitzuh, Sophia Bianca. She is survived by her brother, Ronald Delatorre and sister-in-law, Patricia. Fudgie recently relocated to Coral Springs, where she enjoyed spending time with them, as well as her niece and nephews, Nancy Peck, Ronald Delatorre and Michael Delatorre and their children. Fudgie loved the ocean, spending many summers at the beach in Breezy Point, NY. She loved people, touching the lives of everyone she met. She was extremely caring and compassionate, always willing to help her friends, family and anyone in need. Fudgie brightened every room she entered, sharing anecdotal stories. She will be missed by all.
