IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donovan Joshua
Leigh Metayer
September 16, 1999 – December 15, 2025
The life of Donovan Joshua Leigh Metayer
Donovan Joshua Leigh Metayer was born on September 16, 1999, at Coral Springs Medical Center. On December 15, 2025, at the age of 26, Donovan passed away, leaving behind a family and community forever changed by his loss.
Donovan was the baby of our family, a role he embraced fully and joyfully. From a young age, he was remarkably intelligent, quick to learn and excelling academically, earning his place in honors classes with ease. His sharp mind was matched by his natural charisma and sense of humor.
Donovan had a way of lighting up a room, making people laugh, and bringing joy even in the midst of chaos. As the youngest, he knew how to use his charm to his advantage, but beneath that playful spirit was a young man deeply connected to and devoted to his family. Those who truly knew Donovan saw his love, his loyalty, and the pride he carried for the people closest to him.
Donovan attended Country Hills Elementary School, Coral Springs Middle School, and graduated from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. A true lover of food, especially Chipotle and Pollo Tropical. He also enjoyed playing soccer, lacrosse, and basketball. Donovan had a deep passion for computers and aspired to build a career in information technology.
Though only 26 years young, Donovan was destined for greatness. His life, though far too short, left a permanent mark on all who loved him. He will be remembered for his brilliance, his laughter, his heart, and the joy he brought into our lives.
Donovan will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always cherished.
