Obituary

Donna Maria Zampetti, 80, of Shavertown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on September 12, 1945, in Orange, New Jersey, Donna was the beloved daughter of Anthony and Josephine Jandoli and the only daughter among three brothers, whom she fiercely loved and protected. A tomboy in her younger years, she shared a special bond with her brothers and carried that strength and loyalty with her throughout her life. She was also a cheerleader in her youth, full of spirit and energy. At just 15 years old, Donna met the love of her life, Ralph, together they built a beautiful life and family, sharing nearly 60 years of marriage, with their milestone anniversary approaching this June. In later years, Donna and Ralph enjoyed their time as snowbirds and cherished many days on the golf course, creating lasting memories together. From a young age, she embodied warmth, resilience, and a deep love for those around her—qualities that would define her life.

Donna is survived by her devoted husband, Ralph Zampetti, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership; her loving daughters, Donna Richards (Michael Richards) and Denise Jack (Scott Jack); her cherished grandchildren, Courtney, Sydney, and Ryan, who were the light of her life; and her brothers, Anthony, Wally, and Robert Jandoli. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Josephine Jandoli. Donna will be remembered for her doting, compassionate, and selfless nature, as well as her hardworking and humble spirit. Her greatest joy in life was her family—she loved her daughters beyond measure and found endless happiness and pride in her cherished grandchildren, who meant everything to her. She had a spunky, fiery personality—a true spitfire—who filled every room with warmth, laughter, and light. Donna had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel seen, loved, and cared for, and she was a constant source of comfort to anyone in need. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering support left a lasting impression on all who knew her. A devoted religious woman, Donna’s faith guided her throughout her life and was reflected in the grace, generosity, and love she so freely gave to others.

The family plans to celebrate Donna’s beautiful life at a later date.
