Donald Kolesar, 82, of Boca Raton, FL passed away on August 29, 2016. Born in New York, NY on May 2, 1934 to Stephen and Julia Kolesar, he was one of three children.
Donald received a congressional appointment to the United States Merchant Marine Academy earning a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering in 1956. Donald met the love of his life in 1961 and was married to Pat for 42 years. Donald traveled the world as a hydraulics consultant and became a Commodore for the State of Ohio in recognition of his contribution to infrastructure development in a newly open China. One of his greatest joys came in retirement when he was elected to two terms as Mayor of Jamestown. Donald will be best remembered for his unfailing optimism and generosity of spirit.
Donald is survived by his children, Adam, Kelly, Keith, and Kim; grandchildren, Ruby, Kameron, Kaleigh, Kaden, and Kayla; and his brothers, Stephen and William. Donald was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia.
