Dennis Patrick McCarthy, 50, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away suddenly on October 12, 2013. Dennis was from New York and lived on Long Island for many years before moving to Florida. Dennis is one of five siblings and a large extended family; one that cherished and adored him. He was an amazing uncle and great uncle to his great nieces and nephews. He filled our world with fun and laughter and a sarcasm that could make you laugh so hard you would cry. Dennis was one of the funniest people the world has ever known. He was a unique, intelligent, quick witted person who was raised right and was fiercely loyal. Dennis was full of joy and had a heart of gold. Dennis was also part of a close-knit lacrosse community and extended social network of friends that he considered family. He had more friends than most people meet in a lifetime. His fifty years, although too short, were filled with more laughter, fun, and good times than some people experience in twice that time. Dennis will truly be missed. Many of us have lost a large part of our hearts and will never laugh the same or as hard or as often as we did with him. Still, Dennis would want everyone to laugh and toast the good times. Dennis was very generous and even in his last hours, he was a giver. He chose to be an organ donor and thus possibly be the answer to many prayers. Not only does he live on in our hearts, he is helping others create memories of a lifetime. You are forever in our hearts Uncle Den, Denny Mac, .. We love you!
