David Russell Morgan born Sunday, September 24th, 1961 of Margate, Florida, passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the age of 53. David was born and raised in Jacksonville Florida, and has made his home the last 12 years in Margate. David spent his life making things better. Not just for his family, but in his professional life as well. He was an expert carpenter with over 35 years experience, and took a lot of pride in his work, having a hand in planning and construction of many large projects including the Dames Point Bridge, the Friendship Fountain at Jacksonville Landing right down to building the most luxurious bathroom that a wife could ask for. Every house on our street has had David's signature on it! He was well loved by so many people. He was a free spirit who marched to his own drumbeat, and in that way was very wise, stubborn and extremely passionate about things that meant a lot to him. David was a loyal and loving family man who was a not just a provider but also a wise, no nonsense mentor. His biggest source of pride were his children, Brandon Morgan, 29, Margo Vickers, 24, Mallory Wallace 22, and Jennifer Morgan, 11 and took full credit for all of their accomplishments. By extension he felt that his daughter in law Domonique Morgan, and son in law Tracy Vickers, niece Tori Minish and nephew Dylan Minish were his children too, and was proud to be given the honor of having his grandperfects, McKayla Longo, Elaina Seaman as well as grandson and namesake Grayson Russell Morgan. He was preceded in death by his father John Nasir and sister Lenita Hawkins of Jacksonville. David was a loyal and generous family man who loved from his heart and gave his all. He leaves behind the love of his life, his "amyazing" wife Amy Morgan, his mother Donna Nasir, sisters Betty Smith, Kristine Strickland and brother Chris Howard of Jacksonville his nieces and nephews whom he enjoying watching grow up, get married and have their own little ones. David was always so full of life and enjoyed his. He was a jack of all trades, and everything he wanted to do, well, he did above and beyond. He was a die hard Gators fan, musician, fishing and boating, working and partying. He was a man's man who loved and played hard and he will be missed and was loved by many.
