Daniel Joseph Hellkamp, born on May 17, 1962, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on September 14, 2026.

Daniel moved with his family to Florida in August of 1962, where he would spend the rest of his life.

Daniel dedicated over 40 years to the elevator industry, working as a skilled and exceptional elevator mechanic for Thyssen Krupp Elevator and Miami Elevator Company.

Known for his gregarious personality Daniel had a way of enjoying life and bringing energy to the people around him. He loved to sing, dance, and gather with friends and family. Music was a special part of his life, particularly classic rock. He enjoyed martial arts, fishing, playing guitar, drinking Miller Lite and watching his Miami Dolphins play football.

Daniel was a man who loved deeply and cherished the people closest to him. Pre-deceased by his father Donald and brother Bruce, he leaves behind his beloved mother Jean, sister Anne, brothers Gary, Eric, John and Matthew and spouses, son Daniel Joseph Hellkamp Jr., and the love of his life, Sharon Littlejohn who stood by his side for 11 wonderful years.

Throughout his life, Daniel demonstrated courage and a willingness to help others. He received a commendation for saving a woman from a burning car, and was always the friend you could count on.

He lived a life filled with hard work, passion, music, and love, and he will always live in the hearts of those who knew him.
