Daniel John Cucchi, 50, of Tamarac, FL passed away on September 15, 2015. Born in Gardner, Massachusetts on October 19, 1964, he is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Lisa Ann Cucchi (Betzler) and two sons, Antonio and Dominic. Also left to cherish his memory are his father, Thomas Cucchi (Becky), mother Susan Ryan (Max) and brother, Thomas (Melanie) as well as 19 nieces and nephews.

Dan graduated from Cardinal Gibbons High School in 1982 and went on to graduate from his beloved Florida State University with a degree in Criminal Justice. Dan was a police officer who served 20 years with the Oakland Park Police Department/Broward Sheriff's Office where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. After retiring from BSO he went on to serve with Florida Department of Law Enforcement and was a member of their Swat Team. Most recently, Dan was a Detective in the Crimes Against Persons Unit with the Coral Springs Police Department.

Dan was a long time and valued member of the St. Coleman's Catholic Church where he served as a member of the Men's Club. Dan's favorite past time was spending time with Lisa Ann, Antonio, Dominic and his large extended family. He enjoyed riding his Harley along A1A with his wife, participating in his son's numerous sporting activities, golfing, fishing, and was a devoted Seminoles and Patriots fan.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Coral Springs Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at St. Coleman Catholic Church in Pompano Beach.
