Concetta (Cettie) Sobkowski, 80, of Tamarac passed away at her home on January 25th, 2018.

Cettie was born in Staten Island, NY where her family owned and operated Piazza Bakery. It was at the bakery where she met her husband Robert Sr., who preceded her in death in 2012. Cettie and her husband moved to Florida in 1979, where they owned and operated Melody Diane Bakery with their son Robert until 1989. A devout Catholic, Cettie has been Director of Religious Instruction at St. Malachy Church in Tamarac, leading Catholic indoctrination for children. She was a beloved member of the St. Malachy congregation. She was incredibly generous to those who were needy.

Cettie was an expert seamstress, often sewing many of her own garments. She had an wonderful sense of humor and great story telling ability. She loved her family and everyone loved to be around her. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.

Cettie is survived by her sons Robert Sobkowski (and Daughter in Law Patti), Salvatore and Steven Sobkowski. Her son John preceded her in death. Cettie is also survived by three grandchildren, John, Mary and Joseph and sisters Theresa and Sally.

The wake will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Coral Springs Funeral Home from 4:00 - 8:00PM. A funeral mass will be held at St. Malachy Church on Wednesday, January 31st at 10:00 AM followed by interment at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
