Christian Hope, 24, of Coral Springs, FL died at home on Thursday, August 14, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Christian was born May 18, 1990 in Coral Springs. As a boy growing up in Coral Springs, Christian did what most boys do: played baseball and basketball and he later joined Coral Springs Chargers to play football. Christian attended Ramblewood Middle School and graduated from J.P. Taravella High School before attending Atlantic Technical in Coconut Creek, where he completed training in HVAC. Most recently, Christian was serving his apprenticeship at Johnson Controls. At the age of 16, Christian was diagnosed with an aggresive brain tumor that he underwent radiation therapy for. Despite the cancer, Christian continued to live his life as a lover. He was passionate about music and was blessed with a fantastic sense of humor that kept everyone laughing. In 2010 he had a son whom he loved with all his heart. Christian is survived by his loving mother, Angela and her husband Scott Koch; his adopted father, Robert Harty and his girlfriend Katherine (Katie) Murray; his son, Antonio Hope; and his siblings, Payton Harty, Rielyn Harty and Hayden Harty. He also leaves his grandparents, Melinda and David Jankowski and George and Michelle Rosenberger; and his uncle Derrick and Kimberlee Rivers to cherish his memory. Christian was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Marge Patterson, and his great grandfather, John P. Meyer.
