Charles H. Hall, Jr., 80, formerly of Dayton, OH and Hilton Head, SC passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Cleveland Clinic in Weston, FL. Charles was born March 10, 1934 on Sapelo Island, GA to Charles and Beulah (Walker) Hall. A Lieutenant Colonel (retired 1993) with the United States Air Force, Charles graduated from Morehouse College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology before attending the University of Pittsburg where he earned his certification as a Physical Therapist. Charles moved to Dayton, OH, where he started a successful physical therapy practice. He served on numerous boards and served a term as President of the Dayton Rotary Club. He was also a Founding Commissioner with the Gullah Geechee Heritage Corridor Commission. Charles retired from his practice and moved to Hilton Head, SC. Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret; his children, Lori Hairston, Reginald Hall (Angelina), and Karla (Glenn) Parrish; his grandchildren, Christian (Tionah), Celeste and Cassandra Addison; his brother, Benjamin (Florence) Hall and a special sister-in-law, Shirley A. Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Beulah Hall and two sons, Clarence Addison and Ronald Hall. Viewing and Services will be held Saturday, July 26, 2014 at St. Luke Baptist Church on Sapelo Island, GA.
