Charlene Ann Studer, affectionately known as "Char," passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013 at the age of 64 after a long battle with lung problems. She was born on Saturday, January 1, 1949 in Johnson City, NY to Reginald and Ann LaBare. Char spent most of her early years between Johnson City and Binghamton, NY prior to settling down with her family. A professional waitress and restaurant manager, she was most often seen with a smile on her face serving her guests at Take A Break Restaurant. Charlene married her loving husband, Arthur, 24 years ago. They moved to Margate, FL 17 years ago for Art's job. They spent a lot of time at the American Legion with many of their friends. Charlene's most favorite pastime was playing Bingo and hitting the slot machines at the local Seminole Casino in Coconut Creek. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Studer, Sr.; her son, Sean McEneny; step-son, Arthur Studer, Jr.; and 5 grandchildren. Also left to cherish her memory are his siblings, Glenda LaBare of Florida, Reginald (Cindy) LaBare of New York, Judy (Mark) Kaprael of Georgia, Debbie (Jerry) Harris of New York, Terry (Milan) Dedeck of New York, and Rosey (Wayne) Santos of New York; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family also wishes to acknowledge Bam Snow and Kathy Juriga for their continual love, support and amazing friendship throughout the years. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 3:00PM at American Legion Post #157 in Margate, FL. A Memorial Mass will also be held at a later date in Binghamton, NY.
