Charlene MacDowall, 62, of Coral Springs, FL was a beautiful woman with a bright soul that would light up any room she walked into. On Saturday, June 21, 2014 she lost her long, hard fought 4-year battle with cancer. Charlene was born September 18, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY, to Daniel and Hilda (Schwartz) Wolfsie. A true people person, Charlene was warm and kind. Not only did she love life and everything it offered, but everyone loved her in return. Charlene was a very well educated woman that found great joy in educating others as a Professor with Barry University. Her family was very important to her and they enjoyed travelling together, especially on cruises. Her favorite pasttime was shopping. Charlene is survived by her husband, Luis Walter MacDowall and her beautiful daughters, Candace Heather MacDowall and Catherine Helena MacDowall. A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Coral Springs Funeral Home, 1420 N. University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33071.
